Five Finish in Double Figures in Dominant Road Win

Kobe Julien led all players with 18 points while Themus Fulks added a double-double
SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Louisiana men's basketball team was in total control Wednesday night in an 86-68 win at Texas State in the Strahan Arena. Five players finished in double figures, led by 18 from Kobe Julien.
Julien had a complete game, scoring his 18 on 7-for-10 shooting. He also pulled down six rebounds, dished out six assists, and blocked three shots.
Themus Fulks had his first double-double of the year with 13 points and 10 assists while pulling down five rebounds. Hosana Kitenge, Kentrell Garnett, and London Fields all ended the night with 11.
All eight Cajuns who played scored. Joe Charles grabbed 10 rebounds while scoring eight points. Michael Thomas contributed eight off the bench, including back-to-back first half threes. Kyran Ratliff chipped in six points with three rebounds off the bench.
The Cajuns (10-8, 3-3 SBC) and Bobcats (7-11, 1-5 SBC) went back and forth to start the game after Charles scored the first five for the Cajuns. A 4-0 run by the home side put them on top at 11-10. Julien answered with a three and after the Bobcats tied the score twice it was all Cajuns.
Thomas connected on back-to-back threes to push the lead to 23-17. A three by Charles, followed by buckets by Fulks and Kitenge pushed the lead to double figures at 30-19. The Cajuns closed the half strong with back-to-back baskets by Fulks and a Garnett three, sending them to the locker room up 44-29.
The Cajuns kept their foot on the gas in the second half, pushing the lead to as many as 35. An 11-0 Bobcat run in the final minutes trimmed the Cajun lead by the final outcome was never in doubt.
The Cajuns close a four-game road trip on Saturday in a rematch of last year's Sun Belt Conference Championship Game against South Alabama in Mobile.
