Cajuns Have Strong Final Day of Sugar Cane Invitational

YOUNGSVILLE, LA - The Louisiana men's tennis team showed why they should contend for a Sun Belt Conference Championship this season after a strong final day of the Sugar Cane Invitational at the Youngsville Sports Complex in Youngsville, Louisiana.
The Cajuns started the day against Nicholls in doubles, winning both matches. They earned a court one win with Vasil Dimitrov and William Ribero taking it 7-6 in a tiebreaker. Grant and Mason Landreth took home the win on court two by a score of 6-4.
Three of the four singles contests all went in favor of Louisiana. Ribero took court two in straight sets in a close match, 6-4, 6-4. Mason Landreth won a first set tiebreaker before winning the second 6-2 to win his second match in as many days. Over on court one, Dimitrov won his match in three sets, 6-3, 4-6, 10-5.
The Cajuns are back in action next weekend with the Lake Charles Hidden Dual hosted by the Lake Charles Racquet Club.
