Ragin’ Cajuns Win Three on Saturday at Sugar Cane Invite

YOUNGSVILLE, LA - The Louisiana men's tennis team won three matches on Saturday at the Sugar Cane Invitational in Youngsville, Louisiana. Yesterday the Cajuns took home one match in singles before rain washed out the finish of all the contests.
Facing Lamar in doubles to start the day, William Ribero and Vasil Dimitrov pulled off a court one win by a score of 6-3.
With the match shifting to singles, the Cajuns faced Tyler Junior College. Mason Landreth earned a straight set, 6-3, 6-2, win in his first weekend of collegiate tennis. After dropping the opening set on court one, Dimitrov battled back to force and eventually win a third-set tiebreaker, 4-6, 6-4, 10-6.
Yesterday Ribero earned a 6-2, 6-1 win over Nicholls State before the rains came.
The Cajuns wrap-up the Sugar Cane Invitational tomorrow from the Youngsville Sports Complex beginning at 8 a.m. with doubles action. Louisiana will start the day against Nicholls before playing Lamar in singles.
