Tchanichev Clinches SBC Road Victory for Louisiana

The Ragin’ Cajuns earned their third Sun Belt Conference win of the spring
ATLANTA, GA. – The Louisiana women's tennis team picked up a hard-fought road win over Georgia State on Sunday, April 9, in Atlanta, Georgia. The Ragin' Cajuns were given all they could handle by the short-handed home side, but Cristina Tchanichev's singles victory in three sets clinched the match 4-3.
The Ragin' Cajuns were up in doubles after the Panthers defaulted on court three in doubles, having only four available players. The Cajuns secured the point with a victory by Momoko Yoshimua and Angel Santiago on court two for the early lead.
The Cajuns needed to win just one in singles after the Panthers defaulted on courts five and six. Tchanichev gave them just that with her three-set win on court four, 6-2, 0-6, 6-1. The Panthers refused to go down easily, taking the matches on courts one, two, and three to make things interesting but not close enough.
