Louisiana Eyes First SBC Win of 2023 at Monroe

The Ragin’ Cajuns dropped two close SBC matches last week at home
MONROE – Coming off a thrilling win their last time out, the Louisiana women's tennis team heads to Monroe to face ULM in Sun Belt Conference action on Saturday, March 18 at 12 p.m. The Ragin' Cajuns came away victorious last Wednesday at Cajun Courts with a 4-3 win over Gonzaga.
The Cajuns needed every point to come away with the win earlier in the week. Gonzaga led 3-2 before Angelique Berrat and Christina Tchanichev clinched the match in the third set. Berrat has been terrific for the Cajuns on court three, going 6-0 so far this spring. Carla Urchoeguia has also picked up six wins this spring to help the team to a 5-5 record overall.
ULM has struggled this season, going 2-11, with wins over Stephen F. Austin and Missouri State. Alice Klinteby is 4-3 on the year and the only Warhawk with a record over .500. The Warhawks opened SBC play last week with losses at Marshall and App State.
