LAFAYETTE – Looking to bounce back after a close match with No. 24 Old Dominion, the Louisiana women's tennis hosts James Madison on Sunday at Cajun Courts. The Ragin' Cajuns have defended their home court this season, going 4-2 in Lafayette.
Louisiana nearly pulled off a major upset on Friday despite a 4-0 score against Old Dominion. The Ragin' Cajuns swept doubles on court one and nearly took the point and narrowly fell on court three. In singles action, three matches went to a third set, and another was in a second set tiebreaker against one of the best teams in the country.
James Madison won their SBC opener at Texas State on Friday, 5-2. After starting the season 3-1, the Dukes now hold a 5-4 record after a pair of close losses to Louisville and Xavier. They've used nearly the same lineup all spring, keeping the same players on courts one through five while Reka Matko and Hope Moulin have split matches on court six.
