The Ragin' Cajuns extend their win streak to three
LAFAYETTE, La. – Louisiana men's tennis recorded its third straight victory as the Ragin' Cajuns topped Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, 4-1, Saturday at Cajun Courts.
Louisiana (4-3) secured the doubles point after wins on courts one and two. Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez and Karlo Kajin topped Pascal Lorieul and Nathan Schwartz, 6-1, before Kacper Dworak and Vasil Dimitrov won the point with a 6-1 victory over Avery Zavala and Matthieu Peres.
On court three, William Ribero and Alejo Ferrer Chueca were leading 5-2 before the point was clinched.
In singles, the Islanders (3-1) evened the match at 1-1 prior to the Ragin' Cajuns winning the next three points.
Ferrer Chueca rallied to defeat Zavala, 6-4, 6-2, on court two, and Ribero gave Louisiana a 3-1 lead with a 6-1, 6-4, triumph over Tomas Quesada Perez on court six.
Kajin clinched the victory as he topped Peres, 6-4, 6-1, on court four as Dworak was leading 6-2, 5-2, on court five.
