Ragin’ Cajuns Drop Weekend Match at LSU

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – The Louisiana men's tennis team wrapped up the month of February against LSU at the LSU Tennis Complex in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Despite falling 4-0, the Ragin' Cajuns (6-5) kept it close on the courts.
Two of the three doubles matches came down to the wire. A ranked battle on court one between No. 35 Karlo Kajin and Al Sanchez Gonzalez against No. 24 Stefan Latinovic and Nick Watson went in favor of LSU (7-1), 6-0. Over on courts two and three things were much tighter. The match on court two, featuring Kacper Dworak and Vasil Dimitrov against Cehn Dong and Welsh Hotard, ended with the home side taking it 6-4. The match on court three saw Loiusiana trailing 5-4 when it was called.
Kajin had a close call on court four in singles play, falling in a first set tiebreaker and was ahead 1-0 at the time the match was called. LSU took the matches on courts two, one, and five, in that order, to clinch the match. On court three Vasil Dimitrov held his own, falling in the opening set 6-4 and only trailed by a game in set two.
UP NEXT FOR THE CAJUNS
The Cajuns head to New Orleans to face Tulane on Friday. Action from the City Park Tennis Center begins at 12 p.m.
