Kajin Earns Sixth Straight Singles Win at Tulane

Karlo Kajin improved to 9-1 on the season in singles
NEW ORLEANS – It was a tight, back-and-forth battle Friday between the Louisiana men's tennis team and Tulane, but in the end, it was the home side that came out on top 6-1. Four of the six singles matches featured a set broken by a single game.
All three of the doubles matches were closely contested. Action on court three wrapped up first with the Green Wave defeating the team of Alejo Ferrer Chueca and Calin Postea, 6-4. The match on court one finished next with Louisiana on the wrong side, 6-4 as well. William Ribero and Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez held the lead on court two, 5-4, before their match went unfinished.
Sanchez Gonzalez battled on court one once singles play started, but couldn't hang on and fell 6-4, 6-3 to Flynn Kuenkler. Karlo Kajin and Calin Postea both battled into the third set. Kajin won the first in a tiebreaker while Postea had to battle back after dropping the opening set. Kajin would take his match in the third set for the first win of the day. On court five, Postea couldn't hang on and fell in the fifth set.

The Cajuns are back home at the Cajun Courts on Tuesday at 3 p.m. to host Florida Gulf Coast.
