Women's Tennis Opens Weekend at Home Against Nicholls

The team will play the first of two matches this weekend at Red Lerille’s Health & Racquet Club
LAFAYETTE – Louisiana women's tennis plays host to Nicholls this Friday, February 17, for the first time since 2015. The Ragin's Cajuns come into this weekend's action after a pair of home wins last weekend.
The Ragin' Cajuns (2-2) were in total control in last Friday's 6-1 win over Southern. They followed that performance with a tight win over Southeastern Louisiana, 4-3. Lucie Raquin sealed the match with a three-set win on court two.
Raquin and Carla Urchoeguia have split time at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles, combining to go 3-1 at the No. 2 spot. Raquin and Angelique Berrat come into the weekend riding a two-match winning streak.
Nicholls (3-2) had a three-match winning streak snapped on Sunday at Troy. They have taken the last four matches over the Ragin' Cajuns.
