Ragin' Cajuns Wrap Up Roadtrip at Troy

TROY, Ala. – After having its 10-game win streak snapped, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Basketball team looks to get back in the win column on Saturday when it faces Troy in a Sun Belt Conference contest at Trojan Arena.

Louisiana (20-5, 10-3 Sun Belt) dropped its first contest in the 2023 calendar year with an 82-71 setback at Southern Miss on Thursday in a battle of the league's co-leaders. Jordan Brown and Themus Fulks combined for 44 points for Louisiana, who lost for the first time since New Year's Eve at Old Dominion and posted season-lows in both field goal percentage (36.9 percent) and 3-point field goal percentage (13.3 percent).

Brown, second in the SBC in scoring (20.1), posted his 13th 20-point game of the season for Louisiana and moved to within 104 points of becoming the 50th player in school history to reach thte 1,000-point mark.

Greg Williams, Jr., who was held to a season-low four points at USM, is next in scoring for Louisiana at 14.3 points per game followed by Terence Lewis II (11.4), Fulks (9.4) and Kentrell Garnett (7.6).

Troy (15-11, 7-6 SBC) rallied for a 61-57 victory over in-state rival South Alabama on Thursday as Nelson Phillips scored 16 points to help the Trojans rally from a nine-point deficit with 10:11 remaining.
