Louisiana Finishes the Fall at Ragin’ Cajuns Invitational

The Cajuns return to action in the spring
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana women's tennis team closed the fall portion of their schedule on Saturday, November 4 in the Ragin' Cajun Invitational on their own Cajun Courts.
The Cajuns hosted Sun Belt Conference rivals Arkansas State, Southern Miss, and ULM along with McNeese, Sam Houston State, and Tulane.
Freshman Jenaila Prulla played up for the Cajuns, competing in flight one in just the third event in her career. The freshman had her closest contest of the weekend against Cora Barber (Tulane) in what became a three-set thriller. Prulla couldn't pull it out at home and fell to the senior 5-7, 6-4, 13-11.
The Cajuns finished the fall with 14 singles wins across three events, led by Carla Urchoeguia and Christina Tchanichev with five each.
The Cajuns are off until the spring season. Their schedule will be announced at a future date.
