Ragin' Cajuns Head To Music City For Vanderbilt Invitational

NASHVILLE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Track and Field team competes in its second event of the 2023 Indoor Season beginning Friday when it travels to the Vanderbilt Invitational at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility.
Action in the two-day event begins on Friday at 10:30 a.m., with the final set for Saturday at 10 a.m. The event will be streamed live on ESPN+ with coverage beginning at 1 p.m., on Friday and 11 a.m., on Saturday. Live results will be available at RaginCajuns.com.
Louisiana opened its season last week at the LSU Purple Tiger with three members – Louden Boudreaux (Mile), Jacob Meek (800-meters) and Jeremy Nelson (Triple Jump) posting top marks among Sun Belt Conference athletes.
Boudreaux clocked a personal-best 4:17.33 in the mile run for Louisiana with Meek posting the SBC's best time in the 800 (1:57.40) and Nelson the best mark in the triple jump (52-4¾).
Rylan Theyard posted the second-best mark in the triple jump (50-8) for the Ragin' Cajuns with newcomer Jacqueline Pokuaah posting the second-best mark in the women's long jump (19-8¼).
The women's 4x400-meter relay team of Ta'La Spates, Moseisha Bridgen, Kayla McCray and Alexandra Johnson look to build on their inaugural time (3:51.87) which was the second-best in the SBC during the opening week.
