Men's Tennis Continues Winning Ways With Successful Trip to NOLA

No. 37 Louisiana pushes wins streak to 12 matches after coasting by UNO
NEW ORLEANS - It was a near clean sweep of the day's action as the No. 37-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Tennis team secured the first five points and went on to finish with a 6-1 win over New Orleans on Sunday, March 6 at the University Tennis Center in New Orleans.
Louisiana (13-1) came away victorious for the 12th consecutive match, extending a win streak that dates back to Jan. 28 at Cajun Courts. It was the Ragin' Cajuns' 10th win of the season away from home (combined 10-1 in road/neutral matches).
In defeating the Privateers (11-2), the Ragin' Cajuns completed a 2-0 weekend set adding to a 5-2 win over Coastal Carolina on Saturday in the return home to Cajun Courts.
Alejo Ferrer Chueca did the honors in clinching the result for Louisiana with his 6-4, 6-3 win over Matthew Armbruster at No. 6 singles.
The winning ways continued for Oriol Fillat Gimenez and Vasil Dimitrov who extended their personal winning streak to 11 and six games, respectively. WIth his win at No. 4 singles Calin Postea improved to 10-2 in singles action, joining Fillat Gimenez and Dimitrov as Ragin' Cajuns with double digits in singles triumphs.
