LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Track and Field junior Yves Cherubin and freshman Serenity Rogers bested top school marks at the Texas Relays on Saturday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

Cherubin posted a new best time of 13.60 and claimed fourth in the 110m hurdles.

Rogers earned an eighth-place finish with a new fastest time of 13.05 in the 100m hurdles.
Â
Freshman Maria Bienvenu (53.07) and Claire Armstrong (50.86) continued their strong start to the season in the javelin as the pair claimed third and fifth, respectively.

Louisiana claimed seventh in the sprint medley with a time of 3:21.96 while the women's 4x400m relay team notched fifth as the foursome finished in 9:25.74.

The Ragin' Cajuns will be back in action at 8 a.m. Saturday when they travel to Baton Rouge, La. for the Battle on the Bayou.
