LAFAYETTE – Coming off its first Sun Belt Conference series win of the season, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Baseball team returns to action for a pair of midweek games beginning Tuesday against Southeastern Louisiana at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.

First pitch for Tuesday's game is scheduled for 6 p.m. After facing SLU (8-16) in the second of a home-and-home series between the in-state schools, Louisiana (11-12) will travel to the New Orleans Lakefront on Wednesday for the first time since 2016 when it faces New Orleans (13-9) in a 6:30 p.m. game at Maestri Field.

Both games are scheduled to be streamed live on ESPN+ and can be heard in the Lafayette area on ESPN Lafayette (103.3 FM / 1420 AM) and the #GeauxCajuns app. Live results will be available at RaginCajuns.com.

Louisiana took two of three games from defending Sun Belt Conference champion South Alabama last weekend at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park. After facing both SLU and UNO, the Ragin' Cajuns will return home to host SBC Tournament runner-up Georgia Southern in a three-game series scheduled for April 1-3.

Carson Roccaforte (.363-7-31), who ranked 22nd nationally in RBI per game (1.41) and 23rd in RBI (31), leads Louisiana in average, home runs and RBI with Connor Kimple (.299-4-19) and Heath Hood (.2842-11) following. Max Marusak (.276-0-1) and Will Veillon (.261-1-6) have combined for 14 stolen bases as the Ragin' Cajuns enter the week ranked 20th in stolen bases per game (2.00).

Right-hander Peyton Havard (1-1, 4.91 ERA) will earn the start for Louisiana in Tuesday's game with SLU countering with freshman southpaw Adam Guth (1-1, 4.91 ERA). Louisiana's starter for Wednesday's game at New Orleans is to be determined.

SLU, which has dropped its last seven games after defeating No. 1-ranked Ole Miss on March 15, is led at the plate by Preston Faulkner (.281), Shea Thomas (.260) and Rhett Rosevear (.250).

New Orleans, which will host cross-town rival Tulane on Tuesday, dropped two of three games against visiting Northwestern State last weekend in the Southland Conference opener. The Privateers claimed a pair of wins this season at Oklahoma and a three-game sweep at ULM.
