Louisiana joins host Coastal Carolina, three SBC schools in 15-team event
HENDERSON, Nev. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team heads west to the bright lights of Las Vegas when it competes in the Lake Las Vegas Invitational beginning Monday at Reflection Bay Golf Club.

First round action in the 15-team event begins at 8:30 a.m. CT with live results available at GolfStat.com. Action will continue daily through Wednesday on the par-72, 7,204-yard Jack Nicklaus-designed course.

Louisiana, competing in its second event of the spring, joins host Coastal Carolina in the three-day tournament that includes Sun Belt Conference opponents Arkansas State, Georgia State and Little Rock. Also entered in the field is UAB, High Point, Kansas City, Kentucky, Michigan, Rocky Mountain College (Mont.), St. Mary's (Calif.), Oregon State, Utah and West Virginia.

Freshman Eli Ortego (72.44 scoring average) will play in the No. 1 slot in Louisiana's five-man lineup. Peter Hinnant – the team leader in scoring average (72.00) – will compete in the No. 2 slot with Matt Weber, Hunter Hammett and Justin Caldwell rounding out the lineup.
