Lewis Leads Ragin’ Cajuns Past Harvard, 75-61

Terence Lewis II paced Louisiana with 20 points and 11 rebounds
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Louisiana men's basketball knocked off Harvard, 75-61, Friday in the opening round of the Asheville Championship behind Terence Lewis II's fifth-career double-double.
The graduate student had game-highs in points and rebounds with 20 and 11, respectively. Jordan Brown added 19 points and nine rebounds while Themus Fulks chipped in 12 points and a game-high three assists.
The Ragin' Cajuns (2-0) led throughout the game with Harvard (1-1) taking its first and only lead of the game, 19-18, with 5:20 remaining in the first half. Louisiana closed out the half on a 16-4 run to take a 34-23 lead at the break.
UL continued to make a run early in the second half, extending its lead to 20, 46-26, as Brown scored six of Louisiana's first 12 points. The Crimson cut the lead down to five with 7:51 left in the game, but the Ragin' Cajuns responded with a 10-3 run over the next four minutes which was capped off by a Kentrell Garnett 3-pointer.
Louisiana outscored Harvard, 40-28, in the paint and took advantage of its second chance opportunites, 17-5.
The Ragin' Cajuns return to the hardwood Sunday at 3:30 p.m. CT on ESPNU against the winner of Elon-ETSU.
