Louisiana opens play in Asheville Championship against Crimson
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Basketball team hits the road for the first time during the 2022-23 season when it opens play on Friday against Ivy League member Harvard in the Asheville Championship at Harrah's Cherokee Center.
Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. CT. Fans can listen to the game on KPEL-FM (96.5) and on the Varsity Network. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with live stats available at CajunStats.com.
Louisiana (1-0) opened its season on Monday with a 106-55 win over Centenary College behind 26 points from Jordan Brown. Four players - Jalen Dalcourt, Greg Williams, Jr., Themus Fulks and Chancellor White - each scored in double figures for the Ragin' Cajuns while Joe Charles and Terence Lewis II combined for 21 rebounds.
The meeting with Harvard (1-0) is the first on the hardwood between the schools and is Louisiana's first contest against an Ivy League member since 1970.
Louisiana will conclude play on Sunday when it faces either Elon or East Tennessee State. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
