Louisiana Officially Opens 2021-22 Golf Season at Jim Rivers Intercollegiate

Three-day event first of 11 for Louisiana in 2021-22
CHOUDRANT – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf Team officially opens its 2021-22 season on Sunday when it begins play at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate at Squire Creek Golf Club.
First-round action begins on Sunday at 7:30 a.m., with the Ragin' Cajuns opening play at the No. 10 tee. Louisiana will be paired with Central Arkansas, Little Rock and Southern Miss during Sunday's opening round in the 20-team event.
The event, hosted by Louisiana Tech, also includes LSU, Abilene Christian, Chattanooga, Francis Marion, High Point, Houston, Lamar, Middle Tennessee, Rice, South Alabama, Troy, ULM, UT Arlington, UTSA and Western Kentucky.
The three-day, 54-hole event will continue on Monday at 7:30 a.m., with the final round set for Tuesday at 8 a.m. Live results will be available at GolfStat.com and RaginCajuns.com.
Peter Hinnant and Charlie Flynn, both named to the 2021 All-Sun Belt Conference team, will lead Louisiana's five-man lineup that includes senior Hunter Hammett, redshirt freshman Matt Weber and true freshman Eli Ortego. Jake Marler will also compete for Louisiana as an individual.
