Louisiana Softball Announces Lamson Park Fan Guidelines

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Athletics has announced guidelines that will be in place at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park during the 2021 softball season to help manage the health and safety of student-athletes, coaches, game officials, fans, staff and visiting teams.

Lamson Park will operate at a reduced capacity during the 2021 season in compliance with state and local guidelines in relation to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to attending a Louisiana Softball home game, spectators are asked to perform a self-assessment based on CDC best practices and recommendations. Please stay home if feeling sick or experiencing illness. Fans who are at higher risk for complications from COVID-19 are strongly encouraged to not attend live events.

Listed below are guidelines for the upcoming softball season. Fans are encouraged to visit RaginCajuns.com/COVID throughout the season for the most up to date information and guidelines.

TICKET INFORMATION

The Louisiana Ticket Office at the CAJUNDOME and RCAF communicated with eligible season ticket holders on the option to renew prior to the start of the 2021 season.
Single-game tickets are not be available for purchase. If tickets do become available, Ticketmaster links will be shared on @RaginCajunsSB social media channels.
Young Ragin' Cajuns Club members will not be able to utilize their passes for free admission.

MOBILE TICKETING

Mobile ticketing provides a greater convenience and safer environment for fans attending Ragin' Cajuns Athletics events. It allows a contactless entry into athletic venues and the ability to transfer tickets electronically – eliminating physical contact concerns prevalent during this time.

Printed tickets can be requested through the Louisiana Ticket Office at the CAJUNDOME in advance by calling 337-265-2170.

Main Grandstand – 231
Outfield Bleachers – 90

PARKING

Lot A reserved parking, as well as select ADA-compliant parking, will be provided at the Lamson Park lot. Appropriate parking passes/permits are required.
General admission parking and overflow ADA-compliant parking will be at Cajun Field (located at corner of Cajundome Boulevard and Reinhardt Drive).

NO OUTSIDE ACTIVITES

To reduce large gatherings, and further encourage social distancing, no tailgating or recreational vehicles will be allowed on the Lamson Park premises.
All game day activities outside of the stadium are canceled for the 2021 season.

STADIUM ENTRY

Stadium gates will open 60 minutes prior to first pitch.

MASK UP!

Face coverings are required to be worn at all times. Masks may be removed when fans are in their seat pod while eating or drinking.
All gameday workers, vendors and staff will wear face coverings at all times and will be checked and screened prior to the entrance into the stadium.

OBSERVE PROPER SOCIAL DISTANCING

Fans will be required to sit in the seat listed on their respective ticket.
Social distancing will be required in all common areas, such as the concourse walkways, concession stands and restrooms. Social distancing markers will be located in these areas to assist fans achieve proper spacing.
To ensure social distance seating, a 6' buffer will be added around each ticket block, and around all aisles and entrances.

CONCESSIONS

Concessions, merchandise stands, and catering protocols will be modified according to public health guidelines.
Concessions will have prepackaged food and drink items. Condiments will also be prepackaged.
Fans are reminded that consistent with other Ragin' Cajuns venues and current health and safety regulations, certain vendors and concessions opportunities will not be available at Lamson Park.
Social distancing will be used at points of sale. Markings on the ground signifying where patrons waiting to purchase may stand to ensure 6-foot social distancing.
All concessions and merchandise stands will feature credit card readers as fans are highly encouraged to go cashless on gameday to make touchless purchases.

NO FIELD/TEAM AREA ACCESS

Fans will not be allowed on the field – or within the home/visiting team areas – at any time before, after, or during the game.
Only those in the team testing protocol will be allowed on the field or near team areas.

GAMEDAY EXPERIENCES

Following CDC and state of Louisiana guidelines, game day interactive activities, including, but not limited to on-field activities/recognitions and post-game field access will not be permitted this season.
To further reduce touchpoints and promote social distancing, roster sheets and game programs will not be available this season. These items will be available for fans via RaginCajuns.com and the Louisiana Softball social media channels.
Restroom facilities will be periodically cleaned and disinfected prior to each game. During the game, restroom attendants will periodically clean and disinfect all high touchpoint areas.
Hand sanitation stations will be setup on the concourses and throughout the stadium.

STADIUM EXIT

At the conclusion of the game, ushers will coordinate a gradual dismissal from the stands in an organized manner that promotes social distancing.
