Ragin' Cajuns Set for Mississippi State

LAFAYETTE – After battling in a hard-fought match against Louisiana State on Wednesday night, Louisiana Men's Tennis will take on its second-straight SEC opponent in Mississippi State at A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre in Starkville on Friday night. The match is set to begin at 5 p.m.
Ivailo Keremedchiev and Karlo Kajin highlighted Wednesday's hard-fought match at Louisiana State. Keremedchiev earned a come-from-behind victory after knocking off No. 99 Ronald Hohmann, 3-6, 6-4, 1-0, while Kajin also played the role of comeback king by beating the Tigers' No. 2 singles player Rafael Wagner, 1-6, 6-3, 1-0.
Kajin's win marked the first time a Ragin' Cajun beat a Tigers No. 2 singles player since Feb. 8, 2011, while Keremedchiev helped Louisiana beat a ranked Tiger since Robin Ley defeated No. 100 Colt Gaston 3-6, 6-3, 4-2 in 2006.
Mississippi State is 2-0 on the year and has two players ranked within the ITA Top 125 Division I Men's Singles Rankings in No. 36 Giovanni Oradini and No. 87 Florian Broska.
