Ragin' Cajuns and Cowboys Meet for Midweek Game

LAFAYETTE – After winning two of three games at the Cox Diamond Invitational, the Louisiana Baseball team will travel to Lake Charles, La., to battle McNeese State on Tuesday night.
The Ragin' Cajuns come into the matchup winning their last five of thier six games and look to continue that with Carter Robinson on the bump.
In 15.2 innings pitched this season, Robinson owns a 1.72 ERA and 12 strikeouts. He is coming off his best outing of the season at Rice, where tossed 6.0 innings of one-run baseball en route to earning his first victory as a Ragin' Cajun.
Since coming over from the Southland Conference, head coach Matt Deggs has a history with McNeese State. While at Sam Houston State, Deggs owned an 8-3 record against the Cowboys.
The Cowboys come into Tuesday's matchup with a 10-6 record, but recently dropped two of three to ULM. Their most impressive win on the season came on Feb. 26, when they beat Missouri 12-4.
McNeese will start LHP Brody Strahan on Tuesday night. Strahan is making his first start this season and has only pitched in 6.1 innings on the year.
Both teams will be in unfamiliar territory without Tony Robichaux in the dugout on Tuesday. This will be the first time in 40 seasons that Robichaux will not be part of the meeting between the two schools. Robichaux played and coached for both McNeese and Louisiana.
