Men's Tennis to Compete in Two Matches This Weekend

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Men's Tennis looks to continue its winning streak this weekend as it travels to Houston, Texas for a match against the Rice Owls. The Ragin' Cajuns have won their last four matches as Rice comes in falling in their previous two. The match is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday. Following Friday's road match, Louisiana welcomes UTSA for a home dual at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning at Cajun Courts.
The Owls have had Louisiana's number in the past as the Ragin' Cajuns have only managed two wins out of eight matches against one another, with the most recent match coming last March when Rice defeated Louisiana by a score of 4-3.
The Ragin' Cajuns have a strong record against the Roadrunners as they own an 8-3 overall record against UTSA and have never lost to them at Cajun Courts.
Louisiana is led by Silvio Cocito-Monoc (3-0), Stefan Gazo (4-0), and Ivailo Keremedchiev (4-0) who all come into this match having yet to be beaten this year in singles competition.
