Dworak and Keremedchiev Highlight Day 1 of ITA Regionals

WACO, Texas - Louisiana Men's Tennis' Day 1 action at the ITA Regionals in Waco, Texas, was highlighted by big-time performances from Ivailo Keremedchiev and Kacper Dworak.
The doubles pairing earned a huge opening round win against Reed Collier and Parker Wynn of Texas Tech, beating them, 8-6.
More impressively, the two Cajuns took No. 1 seeded Sven Lah and Charlie Broom of Baylor deep into the match but lost, 8-6. Lah ended the 2020 season ranked No. 11 in the doubles rankings last season.
Xandy Hammitt and Oriol Fillat Gimenez made their Ragin' Cajuns debuts, falling in the opening round but earning a win over Nathan Schwartz and Kyohei Yamanaka (Texas A&M-CC), 8-3.
Similar to Hammitt and Fillat Gimenez, Alejo Ferrer Chueca and Grant Landreth posted a win in the round-robin format of the tournament.
Karlo Kajin and Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez also competed today, but dropped two matches.
