Men’s Tennis Heads to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Men's Tennis will head to Texas this weekend for a match against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The match is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1 p.m.
The Ragin' Cajuns travel to Texas on a three-match winning streak with a combined score of 17-1 in those matches. Louisiana also leads the Sun Belt Conference in overall match wins with six.
Men's Tennis has put out a strong record of 22-7 in singles and 14-1 in doubles to start the season. Recently named Sun Belt Conference Male Tennis Athlete of the Week, Ivailo Keremedchiev looks to keep riding the hot hand against the Islanders of Corpus Christi.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi comes in with a perfect 5-0 record while Louisiana is 6-1. Last year, the Islanders qualified for the NCAA Tournament by winning the Southland Conference but fell to Texas A&M in the opening round of the tournament.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi has taken the last three matches and owns the series with an 11-6 record against the Cajuns.
