Ragin' Cajuns Split Up For Meets At Houston, McNeese

Select groups head west for third indoor weekend of 2020 season
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Track and Field team splits up for a pair of meets on Friday with select groups heading west for events at the McNeese Indoor and the Houston G5 and Super 22 Invitational.
Results for both meets will be available at RaginCajuns.com.
HOUSTON G5 & SUPER 22 INVITATIONAL
A pair of Sun Belt Conference Male Athletes of the Week – Tahj Whitfield and Dominique Williams – highlight a group of Louisiana athletes who will compete on Friday at Yeoman Fieldhouse on the University of Houston campus.
Field events begin at 2 p.m. with running events starting at 2:30.
Yves Cherubin, who set the school-record in the men's 60-meter hurdles last week, returns to the same facility where he recorded a time of 8.03 seconds. Sprinters Terroll Jolla, Brock Appiah, Kemondrick Walter, Trejun Jones, Ta'La Spates, Erica Stewart, and Kennedy London are among a group scheduled to compete for the Ragin' Cajuns along with field athletes Shaquille Singuineau and Alexis James.
MCNEESE INDOOR II
The majority of the squad heads west to Lake Charles for the McNeese Indoor II on Friday at the Ralph O. Ward Recreation Complex.
Frankie Griffin, the Sun Belt Conference Female Field Athlete of the Week, will compete in the women's high jump for Louisiana. Defending Sun Belt Conference champions Reagann Leleux (women's indoor pole vault), Kimmie Rushford (women's outdoor pole vault) and Obdarius Ware (men's outdoor long jump) will all compete in the one-day meet that opens at 11 a.m. with field events before running events start at 4:30 p.m.
Jumpers Rylan Theyard, John Joseph, Damon Guidry and Kaprecia Cowans are among a group of field athletes that are slated to compete for Louisiana with multi-athlete Chandler Mixon, men's pole vaulter Cole Courtois and distance runners Key Alfred and Jonathan Kimutai competing.
