Men’s Tennis Battles Alcorn State in Home Opener

LAFAYETTE – Coming off a solid Florida road trip, the Ragin' Cajuns (3-1) are ready to welcome Alcorn State for a doubleheader at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday at Cajun Courts.
Louisiana was just two sets away from winning at Florida State last Friday. In that match, Jan Galka and Kacper Dworak impressively beat Alex Knaff and Sebastian Arcila, 6-3. Knaff and Arcila were preseason ranked as the 11th best doubles pairing in the country after finishing in the Sweet 16 last year.
Freshmen Ivailo Keremedchiev and Stefan Gazo haven't dropped a match this season and Keremedchiev beat Juan Martin Jalif who was the No. 2 singles player on Florida State.
Alcorn State just fell to 0-3 in 2020 after dropping two matches to Louisiana State and Eastern Illinois. Last year, the Braves owned a 3-23 record and fell to the Ragin' Cajuns three times.
