LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Women's Basketball (6-17, 4-8 SBC) remains on the road, after a two-game road swing in Georgia, with a trip north to Monroe, La., to take on the ULM Warhawks (8-14, 2-9 SBC) on Saturday, Feb. 16 with tip scheduled for 2 p.m.

HOW TO WATCH/LISTEN/FOLLOW: Saturday's game will be streamed on the Warhawks All-Access network.  Steve Peloquin will handle the radio call, with the game being broadcast on TalkRadio 960AM.  Live stats will be provided courtesy of the ULM Athletic department and they can be found by clicking here.

PREVIEWING THE GAME: On Jan. 19, Louisiana extended its winning streak against ULM to nine games with a 52-45 win over the Warhawks at the CAJUNDOME.  The win for Louisiana was at the tail-end of a three-game winning streak in the middle of January.

All-time Louisiana is 6-19 in Monroe, but the Ragin' Cajuns have not lost a game there since Mar. 3, 2013.  Despite ULM holding a 43-16 advantage in the all-time series, Louisiana has won the previous nine games and over the past 15 games, Louisiana is 11-4 against ULM.

REVIEWING THE PREVIOUS GAME: - Despite a great effort from the start, Louisiana fell in Atlanta, Ga., for the first time in program history, 74-71, against the Georgia State Panthers on Feb. 9.

Louisiana, who led entering the final quarter, had a chance to tie the game as the final minutes ticked off the clock.  Sophomore guard Jomyra Mathis had an open three-point shot with the score sitting at 74-71, but her shot, which looked good when it left her hand, rimmed in and out to end the game in disappointment for Louisiana.

During the game freshman guard Brandi Williams led the Ragin' Cajuns in scoring with a 24-point performance finishing just one point off tying her career-high of 25 points.  Williams was joined by freshman Andrea Cournoyer (15 pts.), sophomore center Ty'Reona Doucet (14 pts.) and Mathis (10 pts.) in scoring in double figures.

Those four gave Louisiana at least three who finished in double figures for the sixth straight game and it was the first time that more than three players scored over 10 points in a conference game this season and the first time it has been done since they completed the feat against Texas A&M Corpus - Christi on Nov. 30, 2018.

Louisiana shot 46 percent from the field, and 37 percent from beyond the arc, to give the Ragin' Cajuns their second highest total of points in conference play this season.

HAVE A WEEKEND WILLIAMS: Williams put together a solid weekend at the office, averaging 24.5 points per game during Louisiana's swing in Georgia.  She started the weekend tying a career-high with 25 points at Georgia Southern and she followed that up with a 24-point performance at Georgia State.

ANOTHER 25 FROM WILLIAMS: During Louisiana's game at Georgia Southern, Williams once again was on fire, finishing with 25 points for the third time this season, tying her career-high.  What was impressive was that Williams entered the second half having only scored five points in the first half, before going off in the second half, scoring 20 points.

WILLIAMS HAS IMPRESSED: Williams has been impressive through 22 games, she is averaging 13.0 points per game, the second most on the team, while shooting .437 percent from the field.  The 13.0 ppg., rank Williams second on the team in scoring and when looking at the SBC, Williams is the leading scorer among freshmen.

10 DOUCET SPECIALS: Doucet has recorded a Sun Belt Conference leading 10 double-doubles so far this season and she recorded number 10 when she scored 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds during Louisiana's game at Georgia Southern.  The 10 double doubles for Doucet ranks her 32nd in the NCAA in double doubles recorded.

MATHIS DISHES IT OUT: Over the past five games, Mathis has been moving the ball well, averaging 2.4 assists per game during that stretch.  She recorded a conference season-high with five assists in Louisiana's game at Georgia Southern.

ROAD WARRIORS: During the month of February Louisiana will earn its frequent flyer miles, playing four out of its six games on the road.  Louisiana will first make the Georgia swing, (Feb. 7-9), followed by a quick trip to Monroe, La. (Feb. 16), a one-game homestand against Texas State (Feb. 23) before wrapping up the month on the east coast with the Carolina swing (Feb. 28-Mar. 2).

HIGH FLYING FRESHMEN: Williams and Cournoyer have been scoring machines over 12 conference games, with Williams and Cournoyer both averaging double figures in Sun Belt play.  Williams is averaging 15.5 ppg., and AC is averaging 10.2 points per game making Williams and Cournoyer one and two in the conference for freshmen in terms of scoring.

LOUISIANA FRESHMEN HAVE BEEN KEY: Louisiana's four freshmen have played key parts on the court over the Ragin' Cajuns' 23 games played so far.  Louisiana's freshmen have averaged 29.9 points per game total, which is just under half of the 61.9 points per game that Louisiana is averaging as a team and the four freshmen are shooting .379 percent playing a key part the team shooting percentage of .386.

WHAT THE WARHAWKS BRING: This will be the second meeting between Louisiana and ULM this season, with Louisiana taking the first meeting 52-45 at the CAJUNDOME on Jan. 19.
ULM enters the game having snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 80-62 win at Georgia Southern on Feb. 9.  ULM's two conference wins have come against Georgia Southern, with the Warhawks having taken down the Eagles in Monroe, on Jan. 10.

ULM's scoring defense ranks third best in the conference, allowing only 62.2 points per game.  The Warhawks help that scoring defense by having the fifth-best field goal percentage defense (.398) and third-best three-point field goal percentage defense (.294) in the conference.

The Warhawk's lone player scoring in double figures is Arsula Clark, who is averaging 13.5 points per game.  Clark is also the team's leading rebounder (7.2 rebounds per game) and she has made the most field goals (99) and attempted the most field goals (250) on the team for a .396 field goal percentage.

Clark sits 14th in the conference in scoring, eighth in the conference in rebounding and 14th in the conference in minutes played (30.9 mpg.).  ULM does have two ranked in the top-15 in blocked shots, with Jamie Means averaging 0.9 blocks per game, ranking her eighth, and Whitney Goins averaging 0.7 bpg., putting her 11th in the conference.
