Fraser Grabs Two Wins at CBB Collegiate Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Jamie Fraser picked up two singles wins in the CCB Collegiate Invitational on Friday afternoon, while Karlo Kajin, Kacper Dworak and Pierce Gilheany all snagged a singles win as well.
Fraser, who earned the fourth overall seed in the white singles draw, took down Max Rebol (Samford), 6-3, 6-3 in the first round and then beat Pedro Uribe (Lipscomb), 6-3, 4-6, 6-0.
Kajin earned a first round victory upsetting fourth seed Juan Lugo (ETSU) in the crimson singles draw 6-3, 7-6(3), but lost in round two to Michal Lusovsky (UAB), 6-2, 6-3.
Gilheany and Dworak had similar days both falling in round one, but claimed a win in the second round of action. Dworak beat Jorge Ortegon (Lipsomb), 6-4, 6-4 and Gilheany beat David Faulkner (Belmont), 6-4, 6-3.
Doubles play will start tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. The pairing of Dworak/Gilheany, who earned the second overall seed in the crimson doubles draw, will face Collard/Petko (South Alabama). Fraser/Kajin, who claimed the first seed in the white doubles draw, earned a bye and will play the winner of Badra/Este (ETSU) and Norval/Rebol (Samford) at 10 a.m.
