LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Women's Tennis (2-0) continues the first week of its 2019 campaign with a Saturday, Jan. 26 morning matchup with Incarnate Word at Cajun Courts with first serve scheduled for 11 a.m.

SEASON OPENING SWEEP: Louisiana opened the season with a doubleheader sweep of Southern (7-0) and Jackson State (7-0) on Monday, Jan. 21. In both matches Louisiana ripped through its opponents without losing a match.
DOUBLING UP THE WINS: Over Louisiana's first two matches of the season, juniors Marina Rodriguez Garcia and Clara Mantaux, along with sophomores Floriane Picaut and Dana Radovanovic had their way with their opponents each winning two matches to start the season 2-0. Mantaux had the best win of the weekend, coming back from a first set loss against Jackson State's Nina Zhang, to win her match in three sets, 4-6, 6-2, 11-9.
WHAT THE CARDINALS BRING: This will be Incarnate Word's first match of the season, and the Cardinals are coming off of an 5-18 campaign during the 2018 season. This will be the fourth straight season that Louisiana and Incarnate Word will meet on the court, with Louisiana having won the previous three matchups between the two schools.
