@RaginCajunsMT Finishes Weekend At The Texas Tamale Invite

HOUSTON, TEXAS – Junior Jamie Fraser finished the weekend winning his final match in the A singles draw, freshman Kacper Dworak, in his first real collegiate action, made a deep run in the B singles draw finishing fourth and junior Silvio Cocito-Monoc finished fourth in the C singles draw as Louisiana Men's Tennis wrapped up a busy weekend at the Texas Tamale Invite at Rice University.
THREE TOP-FIVE CAJUNS: Fraser won two matches in the A singles draw, including winning his final match of the weekend to represent Louisiana in the top draw. He started the weekend beating Denver's Daniel Krulig in a three-set marathon, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to move into the winning side of the main draw.
Fraser dropped his next two matches, 6-3, 6-3 to Jacob Eskeland from Rice and Myles Conlin from the United State Military Academy, 6-1, 2-6, 10-8. Fraser then won his final match of the weekend, in straight sets 6-3, 6-2, over Denver's Pedro Fernandez to wrap up the tournament with a win.
Playing in his first collegiate tournament Kacper worked his way into the third-place match of the B singles draw, beating Tulane's Eric Wagner, 6-2, 7-6(2) and David Mitchell from the United States Military Academy, 6-4 6-1. Kacper would lose in the third-place match to Incarnate Word's Fransisco Bendana in a three-set battle, 3-6, 7-5, 10-6 to finish fourth.
Monoc, having the best weekend he has had in over a year, took down UIW's Caleb Dyer, before falling in his next match. Monoc then beat AJ Valenty from Rice, 6-3, 6-3 to move into the third-place match. Monoc lost that match to Denver's Eric Morris, 6-3, 6-4, for a fourth palce finish.
