LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team is set to host Tulane on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the first of four home games at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park to close out the regular season.

The game will be broadcast live on Cox Sports Television (CST) and simulcast on ESPN3 outside of the CST viewing areas. Dan McDonald and Ronnie Rantz will call the action on CST.

The Series

Louisiana holds a 48-44 lead in the all-time series with Tulane having won five of the last seven meetings. The Ragin' Cajuns defeated the Green Wave 5-2 in 11 innings earlier this season in New Orleans.

The Cajuns are 16-18 against Tulane with head coach Tony Robichaux at the helm including a 7-6 record at home.

Scouting Louisiana

Louisiana (29-23) is coming off of a series loss to Texas State over the weekend snapping a streak of five straight series victories. The Ragin' Cajuns won the opening game against the Bobcats 7-4 before falling 6-5 and 8-6 to close out the series.

The Cajuns are 10-3 in midweek games this season including a 5-1 mark at Russo Park. Louisiana is 17-7 in the second half of the season posting a 9-4 record at home.

Junior Daniel Lahare is riding a team-best 13-game hit streak. Lahare has a .439 average (25-for-57) during the streak including seven doubles, three triples, two home runs, six RBI and 20 runs scored.

Scouting Tulane

Tulane (24-28) picked up a series victory over Memphis over the weekend winning the first two games 9-1 and 13-2. The Green Wave have won their last four midweek games after dropping seven straight midweek games.

Offensively, Tulane is hitting .264 as a team with 110 doubles, six triples and 42 home runs while averaging 5.8 runs per game. Grant Witherspoon paces the Green Wave with a .337 average, 19 doubles, 10 home runs and 46 RBI.

Up Next

Louisiana closes out the regular season with a three-game series against ULM at Russo Park starting Thursday at 6 p.m. Game two between the Cajuns and Warhawks is slated for Friday at 6 p.m. First pitch of the series finale will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The Ragin' Cajuns will honor the 2018 senior class with Senior Day on Friday, while a special on-field graduation ceremony will take place Saturday prior to the final game of the series.
