LAFAYETTE – After an exciting finish in Statesboro, Ga., the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team (18-8) will bring their seven-match winning streak to the Atlanta where they'll wrap up their 2018 regular season against the No. 61 ranked Georgia State Panthers on Friday, Apr. 6, with the match scheduled to being at 11 a.m. CT.

LAST TIME OUT: On Tuesday, Apr. 3, the Cajuns made an exciting comeback against the Georgia Southern Eagles, in Statesboro, for their seventh straight match, winning 4-3. It was their first ever visit to Statesboro, and senior Vlad Kramarov clinched the win for the Cajuns with a three-set win at No. 4.
          Â
Louisiana had to fight back from dropping the doubles point, but they did by winning matches three through six, all of which went three sets, except for junior Arthur Libaud's straight set win at No. 3, but both of those sets were decided in a tiebreaker. Sophomores Pearse Dolan and Jamie Fraser each got wins at No. 5 and No. 6 respectively to help the Cajuns complete the big comeback.
CAJUNS CAN'T BE STOPPED: Louisiana brings a seven-match winning streak into their matchup against the Panthers, and they're one win away from tying the eight-match winning streak they had near the start of the 2017 season.
TWO WINS AWAY FROM 2014: With 18 wins on the season, the Cajuns now have the most wins they've had since the 20 wins they had in the 2014 season where they won the Sun Belt Conference Championship. Two more wins will match that total, and three will surpass that total and give them the most they've had since 21 wins in 1986.
THE SUN BELT CAN'T CATCH UP: The Cajuns 18-8 record is far and beyond the best record in the conference this season, with the Georgia Southern Eagles' 13-11 record being the closest in terms of wins and the South Alabama Jaguars' .579 winning percentage being the closest to the Cajuns .680 winning percentage.
LIBAUD'S IMPRESSIVE STRETCH: Libaud enters 2018's final regular season match on a roll, having won eight straight matches and he's gone 8-2 in the past 10 matches. He's improved his singles record to 13-9 and he's settled into the No. 3 slot nicely owning a 5-3 record there having played the last five matches in that spot.
THREE TIMES 16 WINS: Kramarov (16-8), Dolan (16-4) and sophomore Elio Lago (16-7) all lead the Cajuns in wins with each having 16 matches in singles thus far this season. Dolan is currently on a six-match winning streak, while Kramarov has won his past four. And despite Lago's loss on Tuesday, he had won his previous 13 matches and he's 8-1 in his past 10 matches.
WHAT THE PANTHERS BRING: The defending SBC Champions, Georgia State enters the match against the Cajuns sitting at 10-9. They've faced some tough oppenents through the season, playing, and losing to, then ranked No. 21 Florida State and then ranked No. 26 Oregon back in January. But the Panthers did take down LSU on Jan. 28, in College Station, Texas and they're 3-1 at home this season.
          Â
Louisiana is 1-4 all-time against the Panthers, having lost to Georgia State twice last season. The first coming in Lafayette and the second coming at the SBC Championships in New Orleans, La. A win on Friday would be the first that the Cajuns have ever had in Atlanta against the Panthers, with the lone win for the Cajuns against the Panthers coming at home in 2015.
