LAFAYETTE – After a weekend in Monroe, La., where the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team split their two matches, the Cajuns return to Cajun Courts on Thursday, Mar. 29, to face the Jackson State Lady Tigers in a doubleheader with the first match starting at 11:30 a.m. and the second scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

HOW TO TRACK THE MATCH: Live stats will be provided courtesy of ragincajuns.com with links being found on the home page and schedule page.

CAJUNS GO 2-1 UP NORTH: This past weekend Louisiana went north to Monroe, where they faced off with the Texas State Bobcats and the hosting ULM Warhawks.  On Saturday, Mar. 24, they beat the Bobcats (4-1), before dropping their match against the Warhawks (4-3) on Sunday, Mar. 25 to wrap up the trip.

Sophomore Marina Rodriguez Garcia powered the Cajuns going 2-0 over the weekend, including getting the clinching win against the Bobcats.  Garcia was also strong in doubles, going 2-0 with senior Kelly Drew over the weekend, which helped the Cajuns grab both doubles point in their matches.

GARCIA FINISHES STRONG: Over the past 10 matches, Garcia has been strong for the Cajuns winning her last four matches and she's gone 5-3 in her last 10 matches.  Garcia currently sits at 9-5, and she's the team leader in wins, and she's been 4-1 at No. 6.  In doubles Garcia has found a partner in Drew and the two of them have been a weapon for the Cajuns, going 7-3 this season, winning their last four matches together.

DREW IS NUMBER ONE: This season Drew has settled into the No. 1 role, going 7-4 in that spot and she's the only one to have gotten any wins for the Cajuns at No. 1 this season.  Overall in the season Drew is 8-4 and 5-2 over last 10 matches.

VIVA LA FRESHMEN DUO: Freshmen Floriane Picaut and Dana Radovanovic have been great together all season long, they're leading the Cajuns in doubles wins, 8-3, and they've both been solid in singles.  Picaut sits at 8-6 while Radovanovic has been tough all season long, and she's currently 6-7.

WHAT THE LADY TIGERS BRING: This is the third attempt for Louisiana and Jackson State to play this match with the original match scheduled on Feb. 17, but that match was moved due to weather.  The second time they tried to play together was on Mar. 20, but that was cancelled as well, hopefully making this third time the charm.

Overall over the past five years the Cajuns and Lady Tigers have played each season, with last year's match taking place in Jackson, Miss., and the Cajuns have won all five matches.
