LAFAYETTE – Senior Abby Johnson grabbed two wins on the day, including a clinching point, to power the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team to a doubleheader sweep of the Jackson State Lady Tigers, 4-0, 4-1, Thursday evening at Cajun Courts.
The win improved the Cajuns record to 13-7 on the season and it gives them three wins in their last four. Louisiana's two wins improves their winning streak over Jackson State, which stretches back to 2013, to seven straight wins.
Senior Elena Sava added a win on the day, while sophomore Marina Rodriguez Garcia got her fifth clinching win of the season in the second match. Freshman Morgan Forshag snagged a win as well, taking her match at No. 5 in the second match.

Louisiana then wrapped up the match with a clinching win at No. 4 from Johnson, when the Cajuns senior took down Jackson State's Nina Zhang, 6-3, 6-4. The two wins gave the Cajuns a 4-0 win to kick off the doubleheader.

Jackson State would get one win on the day, taking the match at No. 1 when Drew lost to Tyler Smith, 6-0, 6-2. That match's result put the score at 2-1, with the Cajuns still in the driver's seat. Louisiana would then take the next two matches to wrap up the doubleheader sweep.
