LAFAYETTE – It's been three weeks since the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team (13-8) have played at Cajun Courts, but the Cajuns finally return home for their final five matches in Lafayette, starting with the UT Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros on Friday, Mar. 16 with first serve scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

TRACKING THE MATCH: Live stats will be provided for the match via Ragincajuns.com and links can be found on the Ragincajuns.com home page, men's tennis schedule page and links will be posted on twitter and Facebook on the morning of the match.

COME AND GET YOUR GUMBO/JAMBALAYA: Friday's match is Gumbo and Jambalaya Night, and the first 50 fans who come through the door will get a free serving of either Gumbo or Jambalaya.

BRING THOSE CANNED GOODS: The Cajuns are working with the Foodnet Food Bank of Lafayette to hold a Canned Good Food Drive.  Fans are encouraged to bring any and all canned goods to the match, so that they can be donated to the food bank.

LAGO ROLLS THROUGH THE MONTH: Sophomore Elio Lago (12-6) has been unstoppable in singles for the Cajuns over the past month.  He's won his past nine matches, 11 out of his last 12, having only three of them go the distance of three-sets, and his last loss was at Old Dominion on Feb. 10.

DOLAN AND GILHEANY MAKE QUITE THE PAIR: Through the season the pairing of sophomore Pearse Dolan and freshman Pierce Gilheany have combined for a 9-1 record.  They've won their last four matches together, and they're 5-1 at No. 2, 1-0 at No. 1 and 3-0 at No. 3.  Individually in doubles Dolan is 12-1 on the season and Gilheany is 9-2.

WHAT THE VAQUEROS BRING: UTRGV enters the match sitting at 4-7 on the season having lost their previous three matches.  Their last win came against Lamar in Erinburg, Texas on Feb. 24.  These two teams were originally scheduled to play at the 52nd annual HEB Tournament of Champions, but the match was cancelled due to weather.

This is the third straight season that the two have met on the courts, and the Cajuns have won the past eight matchups with the Vaqueros going back to 2007 and this is the first time the two have met in Lafayette win 2014.  UTRGV's No. 1, senior Koby Jansen, is the lone member of their team that is sitting with a winning record in singles as he comes into the matchup with the Cajuns sitting at 11-7 (6-4 in the spring).
