WHAT'S AT STAKE
The Ragin' Cajuns need two victories, both in straight sets, and for ULM to defeat one of the Arkansas schools to have an opportunity to enforce tiebreaker scenarios for the fourth and final Sun Belt Tournament spot from the West Division and continue their season.

ABOUT LOUISIANA
Louisiana returned five starters from the 2017 season highlighted by three returning All-Sun Belt Conference performers in middle blocker Dree'Ana Abram, libero Sydney Davis and 2017 SBC Freshman of the Year Hali Wisnoskie.

The Ragin' Cajuns added a talented group of eight newcomers headlined by freshmen Kelsey Bennett (5-11, OH, Allen, Texas) and Desiree Johnson (5-11, RS, Forney, Texas) who have been inserted into the rotation. Louisiana is utilizing a 6-2 offense for the first time in the Heather Mazeitis-Fontenot era with setters Avery Breaux and Milayne Danna directing the offense.

SET POINTS
  • Louisiana is one win shy of recording the 700th all-time win in program history.
  • The Ragin' Cajuns are 8-3 at Earl K. Long Gym this season and can reach double-digit home victories for the third time in the past five seasons with a pair of triumphs.
  • Louisiana has held opposing teams to a .200 or below hitting percentage in five of the past six matches. That's resulted in a 4-2 mark in the second half of Sun Belt play.
  • Libero Sydney Davis, the rally scoring era career digs leader, needs 36 digs to become only the second individual (Nia Kiggundu – 2,043 digs) in program history to amass 2,000 career digs.
  • In Sun Belt Conference play, Sydney Davis has collected 30-plus digs over five of the seven weekend sets.
  • Sydney Davis owns 102 career matches of double-digit digs and presently ranks 13th among active Division I players in career digs with 1,964 career digs.
  • With 284 career total blocks, Nia Antoine presently sits in fourth place on the rally scoring era career list. With seven more blocks she would pass Mandi Gavin (290 blocks) for third place.
  • Both Nia Antoine (90 blocks) and Dree'Ana Abram (88 blocks) are approaching a second consecutive season of 100 blocks.
  • Dree'Ana Abram enters the weekend 22 kills shy of reaching the 500-mark in her career.
  • Sophomore Hali Wisnoskie scored 29 kills last weekend vs. ULM, pushing her season total past 300 for the second straight season (314 actual). A year ago, she produced 332 kills which are the second-most by a Ragin' Cajuns freshman in the rally era.
  • Hali Wisnoskie is averaging a career-best 2.96 kills per set and has produced double digits in kills in 20 of 28 matches, overall, and all but four Sun Belt outings.
  • Senior Hanna Rovira has produced a career-year to close out her stay at Louisiana, surpassing 200 kills (253) and 100 digs (187) for the first time. The senior outside hitter has been a consistent producer for the Ragin' Cajuns, surpassing five kills in all but three matches.
  • Setter Milayne Danna scooped a career-high 21 digs last Friday vs. ULM and finished one dig short of reaching double figures a fourth straight match on Sunday.
  • Freshman Tia Smith is hitting .391 (34 K, 7 E, 69 TA) since being inserted into the rotation during the Georgia State-Georgia Southern homestand (Oct. 19-20).
  • In Sun Belt Conference play, setter Avery Breaux has turned in six double-doubles and handed out 20-plus assists during her time in the 6-2 system in 10 of 14 matches.
  • The Ragin' Cajuns nine victories vs. Little Rock in Heather Mazeitis-Fontenot's tenure mark the most wins by any coach in program history in the series.

COACH MAZEITIS-FONTENOT'S THOUGHTS
On the main emphasis this week in practice
"Our goal was to make sure that the girls are in a wonderful place to play this weekend, whether it's a weekend that spurs us on to another weekend or it's a weekend which ends our season. My hope is that they continue to work hard and know that I believe in them."
