Cajuns Host New Orleans In Home Finale

Louisiana to honor Wahlborg, Perez prior to match

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team wraps up its 2017 home slate on Friday when it faces long-time rival New Orleans at Cajun Courts.
 
First serve is set for 3 p.m. Live results are available at www.CajunStats.com. Prior to the match, Louisiana will honor seniors Coleman Wahlborg and Eric Perez. Admission at all Ragin' Cajuns tennis matches is free.
 
Louisiana (13-10) picked up a pair of 4-0 victories over Alcorn State last Sunday, snapping a six-match losing streak in the process. Wahlborg and freshman Jamie Fraser each picked up a pair of singles victories for the Ragin' Cajuns with Vlad Kramarov, Pearse Dolan, Arthur Libaud and Elio Lago each picking up a victory in their respective matches.
 
Libaud has won a team-high 15 matches, including a 13-6 record in dual matches, to lead Louisiana with Fraser posting a 12-12 mark, including 10 wins in dual matches. Fraser and Libaud have posted a 16-4 record in overall doubles play – and a 14-3 mark in dual matches – to lead Louisiana with Perez and Wahlborg earning 10 wins.
 
UNO (6-9) dropped a pair of matches to Southland Conference opponents Lamar and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Junior Giacomo Adoncecchi leads the team with 10 victories in singles action and 17 overall, while junior Federico Boscarino has eight in doubles play and 15 total.
