Women's Tennis Returns to Action vs. Grambling Sunday

LAFAYETTE -- The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team returns to action after a seven-day layoff this Sunday, March 6 against Grambling State. First serve at Cajun Courts is scheduled for 11 a.m.
The Cajuns (6-6) last played at No. 25 Mississippi State on Feb. 27.
Senior Melissa Burckhartt and sophomore Kelly Drew are tied for the team lead with six wins in singles play this spring. Junior Alexandra Way is second in singles victories with five.
In doubles, Burckhartt and Drew have teamed for six wins this season, first among Cajun duos. All six of their wins have come at the No. 1 spot. Way and sophomore Abby Johnson have five wins together, while sophomore Juliette Clement and sophomore Elena Sava have five wins as a doubles pair this spring.
