MBB Game 2 Preview: at Montana State

BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team closes out a season-opening two-game roadtrip on Monday when it visits Big Sky Conference opponent Montana State at Worthington Arena.
 
Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. CST. The game can be heard in the Lafayette area on KHXT-FM 107.9 and ESPN 1420 AM.
 
Louisiana (0-1) opened the season on Friday falling to Minnesota, 86-74, as the Ragin' Cajuns went 6-for-26 (23.1 percent) from the floor in the opening half. Freshman Justin Miller scored a game-high 21 points in his collegiate debut for the Ragin' Cajuns with Bryce Washington recording a double-double with 16 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
 
Redshirt freshman Kadavion Evans scored 11 points in his debut for Louisiana, which outscored the Golden Gophers, 48-38, in the second half and held a 42-39 advantage on the glass.
 
Montana State (0-1) opened its season on Friday with a 69-65 loss at Washington State. The Bobcats struggled from the floor, going 22-for-75 (29.3 percent) from the floor and missing their first 12 shots of the game.
 
Tyler Hall led MSU with 32 points and seven rebounds with Sarp Gobeloglu coming off the bench to add 14 points.
 
After finishing its two-game roadtrip, Louisiana will return to action on Thursday when it plays host Panhandle State in a 7 p.m. contest at Blackham Coliseum.
