LAFAYETTE -- The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team travels to Lake Charles, La., to play McNeese State in a mid-week tilt. First serve is slated for 4:30 p.m.
Louisiana (2-0) looks to begin the regular season 3-0 for the first time since 2010.
The Cajuns opened their 2016 spring season with a pair of wins last weekend against Incarnate Word and Prairie View A&M.
Senior Melissa Burckhartt is 2-0 in both singles and doubles through the first two matches. Sophomores Kelly Drew, Abby Johnson and Elena Sava and junior Alexandra Way also enter Wednesday with perfect 2-0 marks in singles play. Johnson and Way join Burckhartt and Drew with 2-0 doubles records.
McNeese State brings a 2-1 record into Wednesday's match. The Cowgirls picked up a pair of 6-1 victories last weekend against Texas-Rio Grande Valley and Texas State.
The Cowgirls are 13-5 in singles play and 5-2 in doubles competition this season.
