LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team takes a three-game win streak into the weekend as the Cajuns open the 2015 Sun Belt Conference Slate with a three-game series against Troy at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

Game one is set for 6 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are scheduled to play game two at 2 p.m. on Saturday before closing out the series on Sunday at 1 p.m.

All three games can be heard live on News Talk 96.5 KPEL-FM. Friday's contest will be broadcast live on myKLAF-TV and simulcast on ESPN3.com for those not in the Lafayette area. Don Allen will make the call with Dan McDonald providing color. Live stats are available on RaginCajuns.com as well as the video stream for the final two contests.

For the first time this season, the Cajuns (7-5) will go with the same rotation in back-to-back weekends. Freshman right-hander Evan Guillory will take the bump on Friday sporting a 1-0 record with a 4.30 ERA in three starts striking out 11 in 14.2 innings.

Senior right-hander Greg Milhorn will make his second straight Saturday start. Milhorn has yet to record a decision this season and has a 4.91 ERA in three starts posting nine strikeouts in 14.2 innings. Freshman left-handed Gunner Leger will round out the Cajuns rotation getting the nod on Sunday. Leger leads the squad in innings pitched (18.0) and is tied for the lead in wins (2). The Lake Charles, La., native is coming off of a strong performance at then No. 25 Alabama holding the Crimson Tide to one run on three hits in eight innings with five strikeouts.

Louisiana comes into the series having picked up an 8-2 victory over Northwestern State in the mid-week after going 2-1 including a 14-2 victory in the series finale at Alabama last weekend.

Junior catcher Nick Thurman continued his hot hitting against the Demons with three hits to increase his team-leading average to .457 on the year. Thurman has five doubles and two triples and has driven in seven. Blake Trahan is second on the team in hitting with a .360 average posting four doubles and seven RBI.

The Ragin' Cajuns hold a 23-12 series lead against Troy after sweeping the Trojans on the road last season. Louisiana is 14-7 all-time against Troy at the "Tigue".

The Trojans (7-5) come into the weekend on a three-game losing streak having dropped a mid-week contest at Alabama State, 12-8. Troy lost two of three to Southern Miss this past weekend falling 6-2 and 5-0 after winning the opening game of the series.

Freshmen right-handers Cory Childress and Grant Bennett will start on Friday and Saturday for the Trojans. The pair is tied for for the team lead in wins with two. Troy has yet to announce a starter for Sunday.

Trevin Hall leads the Trojans offensively with a .405 average and is tied with David Hall and Matt Sanders with a team-high nine RBIs. Right fielder Logan Hill is batting .350 and scored five runs over the last five games. Clay Holcomb enters the weekend having reached base in 26 of his last 28 games.

Following the Troy series, the Ragin' Cajuns close out their five-game home stand on Tuesday at 6 p.m. as New Orleans makes the trip up I-10.
