Women’s Tennis Hosts USM To Close Out 2014 Regular Season

LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana women's tennis team is scheduled to close out the 2014 regular season on Sunday at 2 p.m. as the squad hosts Southern Miss at Cajun Courts.
The Cajuns (6-15) have lost four straight coming into the weekend after a pair of hard fought 4-3 losses to in-state opponents ULM and Nicholls State.
Julie Cremers, Juliette Clement and Alexandra Way each have eight singles wins this season, while the duo of Nelo Phiri and Nicole Breaux is 11-5 in doubles competition.
The Golden Eagles (7-12) face Southern and William Carey on Saturday before heading to Cajun Courts.
Carolin Drescher and Alex Kitchen pace the squad as Drescher is 13-6 playing at the top two positions while Kitchen is 14-5.
After the regular season finale, Louisiana heads to New Orleans, La. from April 17-20 for the Sun Belt Conference Tennis Championships.
