Men’s and Women’s Tennis To Host Alcorn State and Xavier La.

LAFAYETTE, La. – Tuesday will be an action packed day at Cajun Courts as both the men's and women's teams will host doubleheader dual matches with Louisiana facing both the women's and men's teams from Alcorn State and Xavier (La.).

Play gets underway at 2 p.m. with the women taking on Alcorn State, while the men are slated to start at 3 p.m. against the Braves. The men's portion of the Alcorn State match will be held at Bourgeois courts adjacent to Cajun Courts.

Following the completion of the Alcorn State matches, both teams will then face Xavier (La.).

Tuesday marks the home opener for the women's squad as well as the debut of the brand new scoreboard at Cajun Courts.

Both teams are coming off of wins as the men's team gutted out a 4-3 win on the road at Central Florida, while the women's team ended a six-match road swing with a 4-3 victory at Stephen F. Austin.

Admission is free and there will be crawfish for the first 50 people in attendance, courtesy of Mike Mosing.
