Game Night Story Lines
>>> Coming off a resounding 64-point triumph over Dillard on Monday at the Cajundome, the Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team begins a two-game road trip on Wednesday in Oxford, Miss., against the Ole Miss Rebels.
>>> In addition to the Ole Miss contest, Louisiana travels to Pittsburgh for a meeting with Robert Morris on Saturday, Dec. 17.
>>> While in Oxford the Cajuns seek to accomplish a pair of firsts for the 2011-12 season. UL is still in search of its first road win of the season (0-4) and seeks to record back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
>>> Wednesday's game is the second in three days for Louisiana. In Monday's 102-38 win over Dillard, the Cajuns stepped back onto the basketball court for the first time since Dec. 3 (University administered final exams Dec. 5-9).
>>> UL is expected to be shorthanded once again. J.J. Thomas (knee) has missed the past four contests. On Monday, Kadeem Coleby (ankle) and Scottie Farrington (head) were the latest members added to the Cajuns injury list.
>>> The State of Mississippi is the site of the Cajuns last win over an SEC school. Brad Boyd made nine 3-pointers and scored 33 points in leading Louisiana to a 79-76 upset victory over No. 12 Mississippi State on Nov. 23, 2002.
>>> The magic number for UL so far this year is 70. When scoring above 70 the Cajuns are 5-1. When scoring below 70 the squad is 0-5
>>> All five of the Ragin' Cajuns wins this season have come when holding the opposition below 40 percent shooting (5-0 record).
>>> Six Cajuns are averaging at least one assist per game, led by Raymone Andrews and Elfrid Payton with 2.8 assists per game.
HOME STREAK CONTINUES
>>> Louisiana's 102-38 win over Dillard on Monday extended the squad's homecourt win streak to three games.
>>> It was also the third straight game with a 20-plus point victory margin at the Cajundome.
IT'S BEEN SOME TIME
>>> The 102 points scored vs. Dillard on Monday marked the first time a Cajuns basketball team scored 100-plus since Jan. 29, 2004 when UL defeated Western Kentucky 110-102.
COMING DOWN THE STRETCH
>>> UL is heading down the stretch in non-conference action. The Cajuns have only three non-conference contests remaining for the 2011-12 season.
>>> Non-conference play wraps up Wednesday, Dec. 21 vs. Central Florida at the Cajundome.
>>> Louisiana starts Sun Belt Conference play on Dec. 31 vs. Florida Atlantic at the Cajundome. That will be the first of 16 straight league games to finish the season.
SEASON-HIGHS ABOUND
>>> Four different Cajuns posted a season-high in points in the win over Dillard led by Darshawn McClellan's 18 points.
>>> Alan Michael Thompson (16), David Perez (13) and Kentwan Smith (12) also registered season-highs in points.

LAST TIME VS. OLE MISS (Nov. 14, 2006 in Oxford – Ole Miss won 69-54)
>>> The Rebels used a 12-0 run early in the first half to erase an 8-5 deficit and take a 17-8 lead.
>>> The Cajuns went scoreless over the final 3:22 before halftime and Ole Miss increased a 25-22 lead to 34-22 at halftime.
>>> A Ross Mouton triple trimmed the Ole Miss lead to 46-40 in the second half, but a jumper and pair of triples helped the Rebels stretch the lead to 54-40 with 10 minutes remaining.
McCLELLAN STEPS UP IN STARTER'S ROLE
>>> Darshawn McClellan, was inserted into the starting lineup at Kent State in place of J.J. Thomas who missed the game with a knee injury.
>>> McClellan responded well in his first start in a Cajuns uniform, registering a season-high 17 points. He also added three 3-point field goals, five assists and seven rebounds in 33 minutes of action.
>>> The team's leading scorer off the bench before assuming a starter's role, McClellan is averaging 12.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists as a starter.
A SPECIAL WEAPON
