Men's Tennis Gets Revenge on TAMCC

The Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team finally found itself on the right side of a 4-3 match this season, knocking of No. 67-ranked Texas A&M in the 46th Annual HEB Invitational, hosted by the Islanders in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The Cajuns (3-9) had previously lost five games by the score of 4-3. This was their first 4-3 victory of the season.
The Cajuns were able to also exact a measure of revenge on the Islanders, as TAMCC knocked off the Cajuns 4-3 at Cajun Courts in Lafayette.
The difference in this game was the fact that the Cajuns were able to win the doubles point to start things off. Javier Pulgar and Tomsaz Krzyszkowski defeated Alex Pavlov and Robert Rodriguez 9-7 to clinch the point. Before that it was Alexander Rupertsson, and Neil Schneider defeated Nathan Robinson and Andrew Maingot 8-4.
In singles play, Carlin Murray fell to Dmitry Novikov 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 1 spot. Then Tomasz Krzyszkowski beat Robert Raguz 6-3, 6-3. However, Pulgar lost to James Langford 6-3, 6-4, giving tying the score at 2 apiece.
Schneider knocked off Duje Janjic 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) to put UL up 3-2. Robert Voss picked up the game-clinching victory for the Cajuns, taking out Nathan Robinson 5-7, 6-0, 6-4 at the No. 6 spot.
That wraps up play for the Cajuns at HEB Invitational; they finished 1-2 on the weekend. The Cajuns will return to action on Thursday as they host Lamar at Cajuns Courts in a night match starting at 6 p.m.
