Cajuns Drop One-Goal Decision at WKU

A switch at the goalie position wasn't enough to put the Cajuns on top of Western Kentucky on Sunday as an early goal was all the Lady Toppers needed to defeat UL by a final score of 1-0.
The Cajuns allowed Torrie Lange to score in the 11th minute of their contest with the Lady Toppers. The goal was the first of the season for Lange.
Lauren Berlingo got her first start of 2010 in goal for the Cajuns (8-9-0, 3-5-0), and besides the early blemish, she was remarkable.
Berlingo made nine saves against a Western Kentucky squad that currently sits in second place in the Sun Belt. Berlingo's nine stops were the second most recorded by a Cajun this season.
WKU (8-5-2, 6-2-0) outhsot UL 23-9 overall including 10-5 in the shots on goal category.
The Cajuns were led offensively by Chelsea Balestra who posted two shots with both coming on goal.
The Cajuns will return to action on Thursday when they travel to Florida Atlantic for their final road match of the season. The Cajuns and Owls, who are currently tied for the final spot in the Sun Belt tournament, are set to kick-off at 6:00 p.m. Thursday night in Boca Raton, Fla.
