Cajuns Fall to Southeastern, 2-0

Southeastern Louisiana's Maiya Cooper scored two goals as Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns (0-7-1) fell to the Lions (4-3-0), 2-0, on Sunday afternoon in Hammond, La.
The Cajuns were able to hold the Lions to a 0-0 tie in the first half but Cooper was able to find the net two times in the second half. Her first goal came in the 66th minute off an assist by Natalie Santana. Five minutes later in the 71st minute, Cooper scored again after an assist by Nicole Brannigan.
The Cajuns struggled on the afternoon, firing nine shots to the Lion's 16. Kelli Jestes led UL with three shots on the day, two of which were saved by Southeastern's Lacey Bockhaus.
Freshman goalkeeper Lauren Berlingo recorded nine saves in the loss.
The Ragin' Cajuns will now set there eyes towards conference play as they take on North Texas in Denton, Texas on Friday.
