The 47th-ranked Islanders (7-7) won the dual match 4-3, but the final outcome wasn't decided until the fifth singles match was completed.
The Ragin' Cajuns (11-5) gained the doubles point after claiming two of the three doubles matches. The UL team of Javier Pulgar and Neil Schneider defeated Laurent Montoisy and Jose Zunino 8-3 for the early lead.
At No. 3 doubles, Arlen Domoney and Bradley Bristow helped
In singles play, when Domoney defeated Jaume Farras 6-3, 6-4 the Cajuns took a 2-1 lead in the match.
Wins for Islanders came in the next three matches that finished. Zunino's 6-3, 7-5 win over UL's Piotr Olechowski on court four evened the match at 2-all.
TAMUCC took the lead for good with Montoisy's 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 win over Pulgar at singles No. 2. Pulgar had his personal eight-match win streak snapped and lost for only the second time this season (12-2).
The match-winning point for Texas A&M-Corpus Christ came at singles No. 3 when Dmitry Novikov defeated Schneider 6-3, 6-7 (7-9), 7-5.
Yanick Mandl defeated Langford 6-4, 6-7 (6-8), 6-3 for his second victory of the weekend at No. 6 singles.
